Shattered Apple Watch

So as many of  you know, I have an Apple Watch. It's 42 millimeters and it's the gold sport edition. What many of you don't know is that it cracked one day.

Yes, it cracked. it was so bad to the point that you can see the little chip on the inside. Now in this blog I will tell you how it happened and what happened after. So one average day, I took my watch to P.E. and at the time I always took my watch to P.E. Sometimes I would let my friends play with it when I'm playing basketball but I wasn't playing basketball this day. Mr. A (my P.E. teacher) said we were beginning the tennis unit so I decided to go and practice my forehand and backhand hits. I was wearing my watch then and my and someone else with an apple watch were playing. These girls accidentally threw their handball over their court and onto mine and I wanted to practice my strong backhand hits so with the tennis racket, I hit the handball over to the other side and somehow my tennis racket hit the bottom right corner of my watch. I went to check the time just to see that my nearly $500 watch was shattered. I was very sad and many people came to help me and told me to go get it fixed at weird places that I've never heard of. My friend called the Apple Store and setup an appointment so I can go in and tell me my next step. So 2 days later, I go in, I show the people working there the watch, and they say ask my a few questions like "Is it still functional?" and I replied with "Yes" because everything still worked. The guy working there went and showed his manager to make his final decision and decided to just take the old one, give me a new one, all for free, which is actually worth $229. They shipped in a new watch face about a week later and just replaced it with the old band. I was very thankful for Apple doing everything for me free. The lesson I learned from this is that you should NEVER wear a watch to P.E. Especially when it's an expensive smart watch and you're playing tennis. Hope you enjoyed!
