The Holy Land - Israel

So in the Summer of 2009, my parents and sister planned a trip to Israel. I didn't know that we were going on the trip until a few days earlier. I heard my parents talking about a trip but every time I asked they would always make up a silly excuse on why they were talking about the trip and they said that we weren't going anywhere. I found that the funniest part of the trip. So we got on the plane and the flight was VERY long. We stopped in Switzerland for 6 hours and got back on the plane to our final destination, Tel Aviv. The beaches were very beautiful, the hotel was phenomenal, and their were positive vibes everywhere. My whole tour loved it. 2 days later we went to Jerusalem. The thing I remember most was that it was super holy. We went to the Western Wall and everyone was praying and putting notes in between the bricks on the wall.

This was the highlight of the trip. The next day we went to a mountain that Jesus walked on. I don't remember much but I do remember that my mom was fascinated by that fact. We also went to the dead sea but I wasn't allowed to swim in it. My sister did and said you can just float on it easily. I thought that was pretty cool. We also went to the factory that produces Ahava lotion. The last awesome part of the trip was going to a kosher Burger King as well as McDonalds. There I could actually eat the burgers there and they were delicious! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this blog, see you next week!

British Columbia, Canada

So in the summer of 2013, I was going to camp. One day, my mom was taking me to camp and she said that we're (by we I mean, my mom, my grandparents, and I) are going to British Columbia, Canada on a tour. I was very happy. So about a month passed and the time has come. We got onto the plane with the rest of the people on the tour, but I didn't see the other people in the tour at the time. The flight was about 3 hours and we landed in Vancouver. I saw my tourmates right after the flight, and they were not as I expected. They were old ladies that were really lazy and they got tired really quickly. That was kind of annoying. Anyways, we toured through vancouver in the tour bus for a long time and finally arrived at our hotel at 8:30 PM.

Then a few days passed and we went to the highlight of the trip, the glacier. I was hesitant on going to the glacier field because I didn't know what it was. Then I saw it and decided that it's a must. "I MUST see it." I thought to myself.

I took pictures when my mom and I were up there but I sadly do not have them now. It was really cold and I was just wearing shorts and a T-shirt. There was a water stream and fresh water was running down it. I got a cup of it and it tasted better than any other water I've ever drinken. So some more days passed and it was the last night of the whole trip. We stayed at the Marriott of Victoria which was at the heart of everything going on in the city.

We got home and everyone in my family was talking about the trip for the next month. We also met my aunt's best friend since high school during the trip. I hope you enjoyed my 5th blog!

Cruise to Ensenada

Before I start this blog I wanted to say a few things. First, I want to wish my buddy David K a happy birthday. Best wishes. Also if you would like to check out his awesome blog, visit http://davidkra.blogspot.com/. Lastly, I'm typing this entire blog with a sprained thumb so sorry if I make mistakes. Other than that, ENJOY!

So in the summer of 2014, my family and I decided to go on a cruise by Carnival, on the massive ship called the "Inspiration." To give you an idea of how big it is, it's 856 feet long, fits 2,056 guests and 920 crew. Anyways, the day of the cruise came and we decided to go early because they were offering lunch before the ship departs to Ensenada, Mexico. So we got arrive at the ship and got to our room. Our room was small but beautiful. We dropped off our luggage and took the elevator to the Lido Deck which was where all the food was. The trip was all-inclusive so everything there was pretty much free with no hassle. The first thing we got was a giant pizza that me and my sister split. I honestly have no clue how I ate that much pizza. Then we got some ice cream (chocolate and vanilla swirl in a cone) and headed out to the pool area. By the way, the pool had salt water that was really cold. Anyways, there was a party by the pool in which loud music was playing. Then they had to cut everything out to do a mandatory safety check which showed us what to do in the case of an emergency, where the vests are, etc. That was honestly super scary.

Then a few days passed and we arrived in Ensenada. When we got off the ship we looked around Ensenada and explored a little bit. I absolutely hated Ensenada but I loved the whole cruise ride, There were little girls probably around 5 or 6 years old selling things called chicklets. I was advised not to buy them but I know the money was not for a good cause. Anyways, there were a lot of people that begged for money and I was just overall very uncomfortable. But my sister bought a backpack to school which was pretty cool, and my mom bought a pancho for my grandfather and he loved it! Anyways, we got back on the ship and headed back towards LA. The next morning after Ensenada Day, my mom said she saw dolphins right outside of the ship that were jumping around and dancing. I wish I was there to see it but at the time, I wasn't awake. That night, my parents were at a party and they were there until midnight. When they came back, my sister and I decided to get pizza and fries at 4 AM. Later on in the morning, the cruise ended and we went back home. It was a very enjoyable cruise and I highly recommend anyone that wants to go on vacation to this one in particular. Hope you enjoyed my blog!

(My sister and I getting pizza when we first got to the ship. At this time, the ship hasn't departed yet. Also, I just turned 12 in this picture so that's why I look so different)

Las Vegas

So about two months ago my uncle decided to go to Las Vegas for a convention. He also wanted to take with him his kids (my cousins that really look up to me). My cousins don't live here, they live in Canada. They hardly ever come here. I did know they were going but what I did  not know is that my uncle was going to book a ticket for me about 2 hours before the flight. So he did that without me knowing and took me with them to Vegas! I packed up my suitcase in about 5 minutes and walked to my grandma's house which is where they were staying before the trip. My grandma lives 3 minutes walking distance away from me, which is quite convenient. As soon as I got there, an Uber arrived and picked us up to go to LAX. We rushed to LAX 2 hours early because my grandpa likes going places very early. We got through security just to realize that our flight was delayed 3 hours until 1:45 AM. So we waited until then, and arrived in Las Vegas At around 2:45 AM. Luckily, Treasure Island (the hotel we were staying at) was fairly close to the airport. We got a taxi and the taxi drove us there. We checked in at around 3:00 AM. My uncle ordered 2 normal double-bed rooms for him, my two cousins, both my grandparents, and me. What we didn't know was that they gave the rooms to someone else by accident and switched us to presidential suites for the same price. At that moment, I knew the trip would be incredible.

I fell asleep at about 4:00 AM and woke up at about 7:30 AM. We went down to the lobby, past all the casinos and to this Vietnamese breakfast restaurant that was delicious. After that, we stepped outside to the 117-degree weather and jumped in the pool. For the other 4 days of the trip, we went down the strip to most of the hotels and saw things like the snow tigers, the Blue Man Show, the Mystere Show, and this place that displays Ferrari's and Maserati's. Ironically, that night we saw my favorite car which is a Lamborghini Aventador and it was awesome! The day before, my uncle and cousins saw that I have a hoverboard (or segway, whatever you want to call it) and decided to buy 2 hoverboards for my cousin to share. My uncle got them from the business convention he attended. The next day, we went to the IO Hawk store which is where they sell $1,800 hoverboards.

A few days later, we had to return back to LA with my cousins. I don't see them very often so it was nice for them to come with me. I hope you enjoyed my third blog!
