Thoughts on the iPhone SE

Apple recently released the new iPhone SE. To be completely honest, I don't really like it. One major difference from the iPhone 6 and 6s is it's size. It looks exactly like an iPhone 5, which is not a good thing.

Especially for me, going from a massive 5.5 inch iPhone 6 plus to just 4 inches, it's hard. I don't think I could get used to it. Just holding my old iPhone 5 is really weird, and it's extremely hard to type on it because of how many mistakes I make. This iPhone is like a 6s packed into a tiny little case. It has the same 12-megapixel camera, and even the same A9 processor. For me, this isn't enough of a difference to upgrade. The display is 1336 x 640 which would be a downgrade for my 1920 x 1080 iPhone 6 Plus.
To conclude, I don't recommend upgrading to this new phone. If you have an iPhone 6, 6 plus, 6s, or 6s plus, stick to that. I hope this helped, thanks for reading!

Thoughts About Basketball Shoes

So as I mentioned in another blog of mine, basketball shoes are a pretty major topic in society these days.

I used to collect these shoes back in elementary school. At that time, they weren't too expensive, prices ranged from $60-$100 for a pair of shoes. Now, they range from $150-$250. In my opinion, this is ridiculous. The major brands are Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour. Under Armour is still pretty small but they're growing. You can get players' shoes like Kobe's, Lebron's, KD's, Curry's which are great, but usually a little more expensive. The most recent pair of Kobe's shoes, the Kobe 11's are $200. I used to get them for around $85. Kobe confirmed that he's going to continue his line of sneakers after he retires. That's great news. The sneaker community now is way bigger with more people collecting more shoes. Unfortunately I left that community and I don't know if I'll ever join back but I might in the future.

I hope you enjoyed my blog! If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll address them in my next blog. Thanks!

Kobe Bryant's Last Game

So on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, Kobe Bryant had his last game of his career. Now in my opinion, this was one of the best games in NBA history. Kobe started off with a rough, slow start missing 5 shots in a row but by the end of the game, he hit 60 points. He set the record for the most points in someone's final career game and oldest player to score 60+ points.

Personally, since the Lakers have been doing pretty bad for the last few years, I thought they would lose this. They only caught up toward the end of the last quarter. The head coach of the Lakers put Kobe in the game for 36 minutes instead of the usual 24 he plays. Since he's pretty old this was a lot to ask but it came in handy since he scored over half the points. The rest of his teammates deserve some credit to, because if it weren't for them he wouldn't have had the ball passed to him. Most chances they got, they fed Kobe the ball.
Now I'm going to wrap up the blog. I hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for more.

Peyton Manning

So because of the most recent Super Bowl 50, the one between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, you might know Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning was the quarterback for the Denver Broncos, and led them to victory in the super bowl. I say "was" because he is retired. His last season, he won a super bowl. In my opinion, that's pretty crazy.

Peyton Manning is going down in history as the best NFL quarterback of all time. He is 40 years old, and played 18 seasons in the NFL. He got MVP 5 time, was in the super bowl 4 times, and won a super bowl twice. Peyton is the only quarterback to earn 200 total wins in the postseason and regular season. Peyton was born into a football family. His father, Archie Manning, is also an NFL quarterback and his brother, Eli Manning, is the current quarterback for the New York Giants. I hope you enjoyed my blog and stay tuned for more!

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry is currently one of my favorite NBA players. He plays point guard for the Golden State Warriors and his dad is Dell Curry, a former NBA player. He was born into a family of basketball players so he's naturally great at playing ball. Last season, he got MVP and got the Warriors their first championship since 1975. Stephen is one of the top ten players in the NBA and has a career average of 21.6 points, 6.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

Asside from Curry being a legendary NBA player, he also has a shoe line with Under Armour. Stephen had an offer from Nike but dropped them for Under Armour for many reasons. His latest shoe is the "Curry 2" which sell for $129.99. These aren't even that expensive for a pair of shoes made for a great player. For example Kobe Bryant's latest shoe, the "Kobe XI Elite" goes for $200. Basketball shoes in general have raised in price over time. When I collected them a few years ago, I'd get a pair of Kobe's for less than $100. I hope you learned something new and I hope you enjoyed my blog! Stay tuned for more soon!

Six Flags With Someone New

So on Wednesday Megan, Emily, Sebastian, and I decided to go to six flags again. At this point I've been there many times so nothing is new to me. But, Megan has never been on any roller coasters. I planned on going on Twisted Colossus first because it's not that bad of a ride. Instead, Megan wanted to go on Full Throttle first. This ride goes from 0-70 super quick and it's also the ride with the world's biggest loop.

Click here to go to the original photographers website.
I've been on it before so it wasn't knew to me but Megan has never been on any so this was her first ride. This is not a good first ride for anyone. Megan was pretty scared. One part of the ride, after the main loop, it takes you into this tunnel. At that point she thought the ride was over. Instead, the ride took us backwards and then forward again accelerating over the loop. After the ride goes over the loop, the ride is over. After that we went on other rides like Drop Of Doom, Twisted Colossus, X2, and more. I hope you enjoyed my blog. Stay tuned for more!

Emily's Birthday Party

So for Emily's 14th birthday party, Hannah threw a little party at her house for Emily. Since Hannah's house is really close to school, a lot of people just walked around and directly went to her house after school. I didn't do that because I had to do some things. When I got there everyone was playing basketball so I joined them. We lowered the hoop and dunked for a bit and we also played a little game. Later on we went inside to the back for pizza. Someone put on music and we were listening to music and playing with Hannah's dog. We did that for a while then went inside for ice cream and to sing happy birthday to Emily. We had ice cream then went back outside for more basketball. We played basketball until everyone got picked up. I left and it ended. Overall I had a great time and happy birthday to Emily!

Tina's Birthday Party

Before I start this blog I want to wish Tina a happy happy birthday, as today is her real birthday. If you want to check out her blog click here.

So I started the day off discussing who's taking us to Tina's house and who's bring us back. My mom took David and I, and Megan's Dad brought back Megan, Hannah, and I. We got there and saw everyone outside doing something. A fireplace was lit, there was a ping pong table in the middle, a skateboard, two scooters, and a pogo stick laying around somewhere. I started off helping Megan to learn how to skateboard, and by the end of the night she got it down on a very bad board. Then I played ping pong a lot with David, Maryam, and Tina a little too. Later on we had pizza which reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese for some reason. After that we had cake, which was pretty good. We couldn't decide on what movie to watch at all or else we would've sat down and watched a movie. Everyone just went back outside to continue what we were doing. Overall, I had a blast. Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed!

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant is an athlete that everyone knows about. In this blog I'd like to honor him because this season is his last season in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant is a legendary professional basketball player that plays for the Lakers but is unfortunately retiring. He played for the Lakers for his whole career and won 5 championships and was an All-Star 18 times. This season allowed Kobe to break the NBA record of most seasons with the same team. Kobe got into the NBA directly out of high school, without even going to college. In 2000, 2001, and 2002, Kobe won championships consecutively when Phil Jackson was coaching. Phil Jackson used a strategy to allow Kobe to become one of the best players in the NBA. Kobe had an unbelievable game on January 22, 2006 when he scored 81 points against the Raptors.

Ever since I was a baby, I've looked up to Kobe. He is, was, and will forever be my favorite player of all time. I'm sad to see him retire but all good things come to an end. Thanks for reading my blog, I hope you enjoyed!

My Type Of Music

My favorite genre of music is EDM. EDM is short for electronic dance music, which is not very common in people's taste of music. You have probably heard it somewhere, and it's the type of music that is played at nightclubs and festivals such as "Ultra Music Festival." At this festival, many DJs (or artists) join each other and play music for a long time. My favorite artist is also included in this and his name is Martin Garrix. He is mainly my favorite DJ for many reason, mainly because of his talent in making music, obviously. Martin is Dutch and is already very famous at the age of 19. Also, fun fact, he shares the same birthday as me.

You might've heard some of Martin's music before, as his song "Animals" is very popular and well-known. To be honest, I don't really like this song but he made a new version that is great. At the age of 17, "Animals" made Martin the youngest DJ to ever reach number one on Beatport.
Before I end this blog, I want to thank Megan for giving me the idea of writing about this. If you want to check out her blog click here. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this blog!

Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr is my favorite NFL player. He plays as a wide receiver for the New York Giants and is overall one of the best wide receivers in the league. Odell is very young, at the age of 23 and graduated from LSU university, which is where many famous NFL players come from. One reason why Odell is one of my favorite players is because of his crazy catches.

The picture above is from his most famous one handed catch. A lot of people know Odell because of this play that he made. Another reason why Odell is my favorite player is because he is very young  and already very famous and in the top wide receivers in the NFL. Next year I want to play wide receiver for the Taft JV football team and I hope I can be like Odell when I'm playing. Lastly, Odell has awesome hair that looks like ramen noodles to me and my friends. Thanks for reading!

Pali Camp

So in 5th grade, my school, Nestle Elementary, took us to Pali Camp in Lake Arrowhead. Let me just tell you, I had a blast. It was February so there was close to 3 feet of snow. Sadly, they asked us to stay away from the snow but that didn't stop our camp counselor from taking us to play in it for a little while. Every meal we had, our counselor made us drink 2 cups of water and if we did, we could go play in the snow for a bit. It was hard for some of my cabin mates but for me, it was pretty easy. One thing I will never forget is how my counselor said water. He was from Missouri so he said "wooder." People laughed at him but he also laughed too.

Our rooms were very nice, they were simple, with 10 beds but not all of them were occupied. I chose to sleep on the top bunk because when I woke up, I had a beautiful view of the snowy hill and the animals that would climb it in the morning. One day we went to breakfast, then went to climb a pole and jump to a bar and hang on it. It was fun and the pole was pretty high. Later on that day, our counselor took us to the hill where we learned how to start a fire and build a shelter when its snowy. I made a pretty spacious shelter out of branches and logs and it held up pretty well. That night, we went to dissect an owl pellet and it was very interesting because I learned about the different bones in the owl. Overall, I had a blast at Pali with my friends and I hope I can go their again soon.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Round 4

So if you read last week's blog, you would know that I went to six flags one time a week for the past 3 weeks. I finished that off with the 4th trip to six flags yesterday. Anyways, we were planning on going with me, Sebastian, Emily, Karena, Alex and maybe Megan but sadly Karena Alex and Megan couldn't make it so only Sebastian, Emily and I just went alone. It would've been more fun with the other three but either way we had a blast. We went on a total of 9 rides, which were Twisted Colossus twice, Gold Rusher three times, Tatsu, Ninja, Full Throttle, and Drop of Doom. For me, Drop of Doom was a new ride so I've never been on it before. Emily didn't have the courage to go on Drop of Doom so only Sebastian and I went on it.

Since the line was short on Drop of Doom, we decided to go on it so I can check it off my list. If you don't know what Drop of Doom is, it's a ride that picks you up and takes you to 400 ft in the air, then drops you all the way down to the ground. So we were on the side that has a view of Hurricane Harbor and the view was absolutely phenomenal for the time that we were up there. While we were, me and Sebastian were discussing how amazing Hurricane Harbor and all the other rides look with the mountains behind them. So we were all the way up and right before we dropped I said, "Sebastian, I love you." And we both started cracking up laughing. Then the ride dropped and we were saying how this ride is really not that scary on the way down. Overall, it's a pretty fun ride but it's not my favorite. The line is usually pretty short so next time we go to Six Flags, I'll make sure to stop by at this ride. After we went on it, I went and got the cup that allows me to have infinite drinks all year for only $20. That was definitely worth it since I'm definitely going again a few more times during the year. Hopefully I can go to Six Flags again so I can blog about it more. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Six Flags Magic Mountain 3 Times in 3 Weeks

Hey guys. I haven't blogged in a while so excuse my rust, I'll try to oil it up while I'm writing this. Anyways, as the title says, yes, I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain 3 times in 3 weeks. Actually as I'm typing this, I'm getting back from my 3rd trip there. Before these 3 times I've been there I actually have gone before around 2 or 3 times so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. But every time I went, I went with camp so having the freedom when you don't go with camp is AMAZNG. Before these 3 trips, the scariest ride I've been on was Goliath, and I went on it 3 times before. The first trip within these 3 weeks I went with Emily, Emily's brother, Emily's brother's friend (he's an awesome guy), and last but certainly not least, Sebastian. We first warmed up on a ride called Twisted Colossus. This ride is phenomenal. It opened late 2015 and replaced the older wooden coaster, Colossus. Every time within these three trips we went on Twisted Colossus first. But for the first trip (sorry if I'm confusing you, there's really no other way to word it) we also went on x2, Tatsu, Riddler's Revenge, Scream, Batman, and much much more. The next 2 times I went, I had to go with just Sebastian (which is not a bad thing, but the more people the merrier), and he really made me fearless when it comes to roller coasters. The last time, which was only a few hours ago, we went on twisted colossus twice, I went on Superman for the first time and now it's my favorite ride, Goliath, Full Throttle, and Tatsu. These are all the best rides there.

I've gone on almost every ride there except Drop of Doom and Riddler's Revenge, which were both closed or else I would've checked them off my list. Also, I'm planning on going next week again and maybe I'll blog about that! Anyways, I'm really excited for Grad Night and I hope you guys are too! Thanks for reading!
