Pali Camp

So in 5th grade, my school, Nestle Elementary, took us to Pali Camp in Lake Arrowhead. Let me just tell you, I had a blast. It was February so there was close to 3 feet of snow. Sadly, they asked us to stay away from the snow but that didn't stop our camp counselor from taking us to play in it for a little while. Every meal we had, our counselor made us drink 2 cups of water and if we did, we could go play in the snow for a bit. It was hard for some of my cabin mates but for me, it was pretty easy. One thing I will never forget is how my counselor said water. He was from Missouri so he said "wooder." People laughed at him but he also laughed too.

Our rooms were very nice, they were simple, with 10 beds but not all of them were occupied. I chose to sleep on the top bunk because when I woke up, I had a beautiful view of the snowy hill and the animals that would climb it in the morning. One day we went to breakfast, then went to climb a pole and jump to a bar and hang on it. It was fun and the pole was pretty high. Later on that day, our counselor took us to the hill where we learned how to start a fire and build a shelter when its snowy. I made a pretty spacious shelter out of branches and logs and it held up pretty well. That night, we went to dissect an owl pellet and it was very interesting because I learned about the different bones in the owl. Overall, I had a blast at Pali with my friends and I hope I can go their again soon.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Round 4

So if you read last week's blog, you would know that I went to six flags one time a week for the past 3 weeks. I finished that off with the 4th trip to six flags yesterday. Anyways, we were planning on going with me, Sebastian, Emily, Karena, Alex and maybe Megan but sadly Karena Alex and Megan couldn't make it so only Sebastian, Emily and I just went alone. It would've been more fun with the other three but either way we had a blast. We went on a total of 9 rides, which were Twisted Colossus twice, Gold Rusher three times, Tatsu, Ninja, Full Throttle, and Drop of Doom. For me, Drop of Doom was a new ride so I've never been on it before. Emily didn't have the courage to go on Drop of Doom so only Sebastian and I went on it.

Since the line was short on Drop of Doom, we decided to go on it so I can check it off my list. If you don't know what Drop of Doom is, it's a ride that picks you up and takes you to 400 ft in the air, then drops you all the way down to the ground. So we were on the side that has a view of Hurricane Harbor and the view was absolutely phenomenal for the time that we were up there. While we were, me and Sebastian were discussing how amazing Hurricane Harbor and all the other rides look with the mountains behind them. So we were all the way up and right before we dropped I said, "Sebastian, I love you." And we both started cracking up laughing. Then the ride dropped and we were saying how this ride is really not that scary on the way down. Overall, it's a pretty fun ride but it's not my favorite. The line is usually pretty short so next time we go to Six Flags, I'll make sure to stop by at this ride. After we went on it, I went and got the cup that allows me to have infinite drinks all year for only $20. That was definitely worth it since I'm definitely going again a few more times during the year. Hopefully I can go to Six Flags again so I can blog about it more. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Six Flags Magic Mountain 3 Times in 3 Weeks

Hey guys. I haven't blogged in a while so excuse my rust, I'll try to oil it up while I'm writing this. Anyways, as the title says, yes, I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain 3 times in 3 weeks. Actually as I'm typing this, I'm getting back from my 3rd trip there. Before these 3 times I've been there I actually have gone before around 2 or 3 times so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. But every time I went, I went with camp so having the freedom when you don't go with camp is AMAZNG. Before these 3 trips, the scariest ride I've been on was Goliath, and I went on it 3 times before. The first trip within these 3 weeks I went with Emily, Emily's brother, Emily's brother's friend (he's an awesome guy), and last but certainly not least, Sebastian. We first warmed up on a ride called Twisted Colossus. This ride is phenomenal. It opened late 2015 and replaced the older wooden coaster, Colossus. Every time within these three trips we went on Twisted Colossus first. But for the first trip (sorry if I'm confusing you, there's really no other way to word it) we also went on x2, Tatsu, Riddler's Revenge, Scream, Batman, and much much more. The next 2 times I went, I had to go with just Sebastian (which is not a bad thing, but the more people the merrier), and he really made me fearless when it comes to roller coasters. The last time, which was only a few hours ago, we went on twisted colossus twice, I went on Superman for the first time and now it's my favorite ride, Goliath, Full Throttle, and Tatsu. These are all the best rides there.

I've gone on almost every ride there except Drop of Doom and Riddler's Revenge, which were both closed or else I would've checked them off my list. Also, I'm planning on going next week again and maybe I'll blog about that! Anyways, I'm really excited for Grad Night and I hope you guys are too! Thanks for reading!
